Rather, it is a shared exploration of your inner life, helping you reconnect with yourself, discover deeper meaning, and cultivate a more authentic relationship with life, others and the mystery that surrounds us. I understand that confidentiality may only be broken where there is a legal or ethical obligation relating to serious risk of harm or protection of a child or vulnerable adult. ✥ Working Together Please indicate your agreement. I will arrive on time where possible, and if late notify John I will provide at least 24 hours' notice if I need to cancel or reschedule I understand that missed appointments or late cancellations will incur the full session fee. Spiritual counselling is not about fixing what is broken, but about creating the conditions in which your own wisdom, resilience and deepest self can gradually reveal themselves. Whatever you bring is welcome. ✥ The Sacred Container Spiritual Counselling is a safe and sacred space. Boundaries are mutually respected; honesty and presence are essential. Either party may speak if the sense of containment, trust, or safety becomes disturbed. This sacred container is held by our shared commitment to truth, compassion, Spirit, the OneSpirit Code of Ethics, and the wider circle of care that supports this work. View OneSpirit Code of Ethics ✥ The Relationship In the presence of Spirit, we acknowledge that the spiritual counselling relationship is also a relationship of learning. It is human, sacred, and professional. In cases of dual roles or overlapping contexts, clarity will be sought and boundaries honoured through open dialogue. ✥ Transformation Learning Every meaningful relationship carries moments of harmony, misunderstanding, challenge and grace. When subconscious biases are revealed or emotions are triggered, these experiences become opportunities for growth rather than division. Repair begins through awareness — acknowledging the impact, taking responsibility, and meeting difference with curiosity and respect. In spiritual counselling, we learn to hold these challenges within a wider spiritual frame: bringing the disturbance, the vulnerability, and the desire for harmony back to Spirit, where transformation becomes possible for both. ✥ Insurance & Accountability To support safe and ethical practice, John F. Doherty is fully insured, receives regular professional supervision, is a recognised OneSpirit Spiritual Counsellor and Supervisor, and is a founding member of the Supervisory Association of Ireland. ✥ Session Agreements. Practical Arrangements - Please tick to signify your consent After the Intro Chat, we have one Session together to see if we are a fit. If we both agree to continue this can be the first of the 5 minimum sessions taken together Frequency: Minimum of 5 sessions, with mutual flexibility One hour per session Fee: Normal Fees are €90 per session, with a reduced rate of €80 per session if 5 sessions are booked and paid for in advance. A reduced fee option can be negotiated where necessary 24 hour notice must be given to reschedule, otherwise the time booked will be taken as a paid session Format: Sessions held online via a secure, encrypted platform. ✥ Health & Wellbeing Please tick those that apply.
